Bereavement & Loss

My approach to helping young people and adults with bereavement and loss:

I am proud to model and pass on the best and most up to date practice in bereavement support.

  • I aim to encourage strong communication within the family before and after a bereavement where possible.
  • I encourage bereaved people to develop their own ‘existential’ understanding and strengthen their inner resilience as a basis for the rest of their lives.
  • I provide relevant information about grief and loss and the diverse support groups within the UK.
  • I help to normalise the whirlpool of feelings we all have when facing loss.
  • I seek to look for ways the living can continue their bond with the person who has died and strengthen the continuing bonds with remaining family and friends, where possible.
  • I help people to start to adjust to their new ‘life landscape’ after loss.

I'm interested. What happens next?
